Colbert mentions a new A-Team

Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report recently mentioned The A-Team in his nightly segment The WØRD.

While talking about how the U.S. called terrorist organization Al Qaeda a b-team or minor league, Colbert said they now consider Hezbollah the new A-Team “as evident by their training video.”  As a joke he then showed part of the opening montage of The A-Team with cars flipping over as their training video.

5/30 Blog update

Cleaned up the menu a little bit, but I still have a lot to add.  I did get the message board up and running, so take some time and get some discussion going!

Movie cast rumors

HannibalSo The A-Team Movie that has been in the works for… well… forever, it seems, got some press over the past few weeks.  The John Singleton directed film is said to be eyeballing three actors for main roles.

According to Latino Review, they are looking at Bruce Willis to smoke the cigars of John “Hannibal” Smith.  IGN Movies reports that Woody Harrelson might be the top choice for “Howlin’ Mad” Murdock.  And CHUD.com talked to Tyrese Gibson, who sounds like he might have the role of B.A. Baracus locked up.  No word yet on who might play Faceman.

One angry mudsucka

While perusing the YouTubes, I came across an old interview with Mr. T on Late Night with David Letterman. This is from back in 1985 right before WrestleMania I, which Mr. T took part in. I don’t know if Mr. T was acting in this interview or not, but based on some of the things he said I’m leaning towards the latter.

I don’t know if Mr. T has some grudge against Letterman, but simply put he seemed real irritated to be there. He didn’t really want to talk, which caused some awkward moments of silence (which are hilarious). Dave asking him if he likes to fish is classic! But he seemed sad and depressed. He said some things that pointed to real behind the scenes issues (i.e. Dave called him the star of The A-Team and Mr. T said he was just a co-star and George Peppard was the star). And at the end he wouldn’t even say, “Thanks Dave, it was great to be here.” He just stared silently at Dave.

Whatever the case with Mr. T, I will say it definitely made for one of the more entertaining interviews for all the wrong reasons. It was a total train wreck with hilarious results. Enjoy!

I love it when a blog comes together!

Greetings and welcome to the newest blog dedicated to the legendary 80s TV series The A-Team!

I love it when a blog comes together, but unfortunately I’m just scratching the surface in organizing this website, so bear with me as the construction continues.

In the mean time, I will be posting regularly on all things A-Team related: full episode reviews, latest happenings with the cast, and anything else I may come across (and there’s lots of fun stuff I’ve found in recent days!).

So do B.A. proud and kick back with a glass of milk, quit your jibber jabber, and I hope you enjoy this site!
